Quake III Arena :: Capture the Flag :: HexQ3CTF1

Premise ::
This is the first Capture the Flag map I made in Quake 3 and decided to release. It was the first map I made after being hired at Treyarch, and actually had some level designers play through it with me a few times to give feedback. It turned out to be a solid space map with fast-paced game play and lots of bounce pads! Designed for 4 - 8 people. Bot support is included. A few custom textures from Quaker-X are included in the pk3.

Quake III Arena :: Deathmatch :: Towers

Premise ::
This was one of my favorite Quake 3 maps that I did back in day before I knew how to properly light and balance a level. Because of the experimental design the game play can get quite fun and frantic with 2 to 6 people. It is a space map with low gravity - watch out, death at the bottom! Bot support is included.

Because I liked this map, I went back and relit it and rearranged some of the item placement after getting a job as a level designer. However, in the process I somehow corrupted the map file and rendered my only copy useless. So, unless I can figure out a way around that you only have the original version to play. Happy fragging. :)

Quake III Arena :: Deathmatch :: The Flooded Base

Premise ::
This was the last deathmatch map and one of the few non-space maps I made for Quake 3. Once again I tried some gimmicks: slow opening doors, floating boxes, water traps and lots of secrets. The end result was a pretty fun map made for 3 - 8 people. Bot support is included but their performance is far from stellar. Try to get the quad damage or the BFG!

Quake III Arena :: Deathmatch :: Oingo Boingo

Premise ::
Another space map with lots of jump pads and a high, square walk-way at the top. I've had some fun matches on this one with 2 to 4 people. Not much else to say about this one except that it's a small download so give it a try!. Bot support is included.

Quake III Arena :: Deathmatch :: Arenaz

Premise ::
This map is based around 4 arenas designed exclusively for specific weapons. All players start in a hub where there are no weapons or pickups. There, they choose their arena and teleport in.

Each arena only has 1 type of weapon and ammo and the arena is designed with that weapon in mind. Each arena has 2 teleports which lead to another arena.

Since I didn't have a way to force the player to use a specific weapon or to make the player drop his weapon when leaving the arena, the idea didn't pan out as well as it could have been but it still holds some really fun matches with 4 to 10 people.

It's one of my biggest maps and uses some custom textures from Meatpak by Pete Parisi. Bot support is included, though they only spawn in the arenas and not the hubs as to not get them all congested in non-playing areas. Give it a try!

Quake III Arena :: Deathmath :: Two

Premise ::
A very small deathmatch map made for a few player, 2 to 4 at most. This is one of my first Quake 3 maps and it's nothing special, but it is fun for a quick, frantic match. Bot support is included.

Quake III Arena :: Deathmath :: Kothill

Premise ::
My very first deathmatch map for Quake 3 was actually a remake of my favorite custom deathmatch map for Quake 1. Of course, I took creative liberty and turned it into a space map! Kothill is short for King of the Hill, since that's what the game play of the map consists of. Try to get to the top and stay there! Unfortunately, no bot support is included with this one, but it's a blast with up to 4 players (recommended for 2).
